This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Not a fan.
The only thing I love about this case is the color - and it pains me to have to exchange it for one of the pricier ugly covers in unappealing colors, but that's what I'm going to do.

The Fire HDX device's buttons, camera, and ports require the case to be made in a certain way that makes it appear upside down when using certain apps. It's not really Marware's fault or any other case designer.

There are holes in the case that align with the power and volume buttons, so you can only put the device in one way. (Well, you can put it in another way but the holes won't align with the buttons.) Put the device into the case the right way, turn on the device, and guess what? The display is upside down. The "Kindle Fire" logo is upside down as the device boots up...and it stays that way until the screen rights itself according to the way you're holding it. Annoying, but again...Kindle's design, not Marware's fault.

The biggest problem I have with this case is...

2. Decent frugal choice case, missing one key feature
This is a decent basic case at $20 that is meant for every day use. For its price point, the case works as expected - provides basic protection and functionality. You can just throw it in your bag or purse and not worry about scratching your Kindle.

PROs:

- Price makes it an economical choice compared to Amazon's Origami cases that are $50 and higher
- Slim design, adds basically no bulk to the Fire HDX. Kindle fits securely in the case.
- Offers basic all around protection. The Kindle won't get damaged in this case.
- Has openings for access to power button, volume +/- buttons, speakers, charging port, and headphone jack.
- Has two-position stands (both in landscape mode) - one is vertical for watching videos and the other is flatter for typing. Both work fine.

CONs:

- Does not trigger sleep mode. You have to manually lock the device using the power button on the back, or wait for the device to lock itself after a period...

Right Price does job.
First all those who complained about this item ...unless it was physically deformed .... ....Look ...it costs $20 DOLLARS. TWENTY! You gets what you pays for people. Maybe 5-6 of a growing nanny state has given people a bad case of the gimmees (yeah GIVE-ME's) but this thing does what it promises (with one exception) at an economical price....you want more ...pay more. .... .

Pros: Right price ...$20 dollars as opposed to ..like $70 for the Origami monstrosity.... trust me ...those origami legs will start to bend eventually (ok ...maybe not). But I cannot see how it works on ones lap ....on a table yeah but ..... who in America uses their tablet at a table as opposed to the couch in front of the TV?
Well made .... stitching fine .... Light weight ...protects the Kindle Fire HDX 7" ... ok so it's not an otterbox but ...it costs $20 not $70. No it does not open the KF when you open the cover. Why? Because it costs $20. You want the KF to open when you open the...
